High-low splits

In a high-low split, two players have the same low hand and one player has the better high hand. This can also happen when there are three or more players, in which case all players have the same high. In these situations, players might split up one-eighth of the pot or even smaller fractions.
Five-of-a-Kind
When a player holds four cards of the same rank and a wild card, he or she has a five-of-a-kind. A five-of-a-kind is a higher-ranked poker hand than a pair of twos. Five-of-a-kinds are also known as high-hands and can be the highest paying hands in poker.
The hand pictured in FIG. 16 is an example of a five-of-a-kind poker hand. The first player receives a seven of spades as the first card and two sevens of a different suit for his second and third cards. This hand beats the dealer’s five-of-spades and wins the initial progressive wager. The fifth card is also a seven. When multiple decks are used, the second and third cards can be two sevens of diamonds.
Four-of-a-Kind
Four-of-a-Kind is an interesting poker hand that has many unique possibilities. This hand is not readily available to most players. However, there are a few tricks that you can use to improve your odds of getting this hand. The first tip is to play slowly and analyze the dynamics of the other players. Another tip is to adopt bluff tactics and aggressive play.
